This quote from Levins and Lewontin is as true today as it was in the mid-80s. The goal of our lab is to better understand the evolutionary process in a realistic ecological context. This has led us to explore a variety of questions in a range of fields, from foraging ecology and niche partitioning to ecophysiology and speciation. Most of our work is focused on birds, especially members of the red crossbill complex.
